The Chief Revenue Officer is a highly analytical commercial leader with a very strong entrepreneurial marketing background ideally in an international B2B context.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the CRO will be accountable for developing revenue models and executing monetization strategies aimed at generating strong revenue growth.
The CRO will be responsible for designing and executing the sales and business development strategy to ensure the success and growth of the business. He/she will be accountable for driving better integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions, scaling business revenues, including marketing, sales, customer support, and revenue management, through customer prospecting, technology evangelization and long-term relationship-building.
The CRO will also play a leadership role in developing, owning and implementing all sales management activities throughout the organization. The ideal candidate in this role will be a key part of Brilliant Matter’s leadership team and will have the unique opportunity to grow the sales team in tandem with revenue.
The ideal candidate has already proven themselves within early stage companies and is a strong field business development performer. Capable of taking ownership of all sales, marketing and business development efforts, he/she will build a strong sales pipeline and act as a catalyst for revenue growth. Given the disruptive nature of the technology, the successful candidate’s customer, business and sales acumen must be complemented by a strong technical background, ideally in the chemical industry, with past experience in complex selling.
The CRO is a strategic, innovative and data driven individual that has already proven themself in conceiving and bringing revenue generating ideas to market; seeing the potential in untapped markets and understanding how to activate them.
The CRO will need to quickly immerse himself/herself to assess the company, technology, customers, and business opportunities, and will take ownership of all the key responsibilities of the role. The CRO will build a sales and business development plan and will take responsibility for its implementation.
